The architectural approach for Hotel Ark Holiday Inn is rooted in a Modern Alpine aesthetic thoughtfully blended with Traditional Indian Heritage elements, ensuring the structure feels native to its Himalayan context. Emphasizing a robust material palette of natural slate, rich teak wood, and tactile stone, the design establishes an immediate, grounded connection to the mountainous landscape.

The building’s orientation and expansive fenestration were deliberately planned to capture the warmth of golden hour lighting, creating inviting, softly shadowed interiors that transition beautifully into the blue hour of dusk. By balancing raw natural textures with refined contemporary detailing, the resulting environment is both visually commanding and deeply comforting—delivering a sanctuary of elevated design amidst the rugged terrain of Dalhousie.
